this is an ink drawing i did yesterday downtown at the half n half. a great place i might add to grab coffee and some afternoon sunlight. while i was there had a very humbling moment as a little girl, around the age of 10, sold two cat illustrations for $60. i will admit they were cute drawings and quite witty, but as people hovered over top of me admiring her work i could help not to think of purchasing one of the pieces so that i might go outside and burn it. i guess i'm just envious.
i might discard my own drawing, holding it from its original purpose of being sent off as part of a chain art exchange. the idea is that you make a piece of art for a recipient who's address you receive in an email. you then take the sender of the emails address (different from the person your art will be posted to) and email the chain letter with rules off to more people. i don't know if i'm explaining this very well, but in the end everyone who participates should expect a handful of art delivered to their doorstep.
its a neat idea, i just haven't been very good about getting my stuff out in a timely manner. especially now that i have the urge to redo it. in any case enjoy the potential final/rough draft.
