for a while now i've been meaning to get into the habit of drawing a sketch per day. as many surveyors of the internet know it has become quite popular for people to document this process on the web as motivation for staying consistent. i've made multiple efforts in the past with little success. sometimes i would manage to complete a sketch each day, but would forget or become to lazy to upload it to actdistract.
this christmas my sister gave me some tactile motivation in the form of book designed to be doodled in once a day. this in conjunction with my friend maria's 365 project (she has a really great eye, check here photos out here) has fueled me to stay committed to making some sort of mark on paper daily.
each page of the journal is broken up into two panels, each one representing a different day. for this reason i will post two sketches every other day to make things a little easier on myself.
i've found that sketching can be an effective way to vent about things just like writing or talking. i'm a pretty opinionated person, so this leaves me with a plethora of subjects to choose from. recently, i've spent time around an individual who's views are often different then mine. lately some remarks were made that became the catalyse for these current two comics. the opinions that are expressed are by no means uncommon, so this is not a crack at that individual, but observation of a certain lifestyle.
