your looking at unfiltered uv light. now developing silk screens will be that much easier. that is if i don't burn out my retinas.

at times i feel like..?

i drew this comic a few days after an event i attended with a bunch of designers. the experience reminded me that sometimes i feel i missed the mark of what i was expected to hit, but to be honest i don't think i've been aiming for a particular target.

the designer lifestyle at one point may have been desirable, but as i get older it appeals to me far less, feeling to rigid and constraining. even though i know i'm a mature individual, being surrounded by such work driven people makes me feel naive, but i just have to remind myself that business is an act, you invest as little or as much as you want with unpredictable returns. i feel it is ultimately no true measure of an individual for real success does not come with tangible rewards, but a feeling of contentment.

cookie experiment

so... i wanted to try something using praline candy as a filling in some sort of thumbprint style cookie. nothing real revolutionary, but just thought the maple flavor of the praline would go well with a shortbread.

i tried a bunch of different variations and thought this the most successful application, but the holes could have been cut a bit cleaner and i think next time i'd keep the shape a consistent circle and leave the oats out of the shortbread. maybe pecans instead of oats, i do love pecans.

i've gone to a few magical places in the past couple months, but haven't really taken the time to share the experiences with others till now. so, please take a gander at the top of the world and at the heart of one of our most beloved national park.

SF, could it be my new home?

If you don't know, i just moved to San Francisco, which has delayed some needed attention to this blog. I hope to be back in gear here shortly.

I'm anticipating good things to come from the city on the bay. Keep those fingers crossed.
