Something Different

so, the lead illustrator at my office chuck has issued a weekly challenge to our team. every seven days he will assign a topic from which we our encouraged to create. this week was "talent".

i tried a bit of a different style this week, playing with an application similar to illustrations i've seen in mid-century children's books.

not sure if i'll ontinue to explore this look, but it's always nice to glean ideas.

i've come to realize that this blog doesn't look so hot on mobile, so i may consider changing platforms...

anyway I'll keep this address, but expect possible changes. that is all.

back to weekly sketches

it's been a long sleep, but i'm back

the sketch-a-day project i did for a year ended quite a while ago. actually almost a year to this date, which i'll admit makes the fact i haven't posted much since then pretty sad.

coming up with ideas to sketch everyday and getting them online was a bit of a challenging, but i'd like to try and get back to doing some regular sketching and upload a couple a week. 

at this point no one, except maybe a handful of people from china from what the view statistics claim, is actually looking at my blog, so instead of humoring myself with these blurry words on this white screen (its late...) i'm going to just go ahead and throw down a drawing.
